Diseases of the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves are seen frequently in dogs and cats.

Neurological problems often require advanced diagnostic imaging modalities such as myelography (injection of dye to visualize the spinal cord) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), a non-invasive method of visualizing the nervous system and other tissues of the body utilizing a high-powered magnet.

Oradell Animal Hospital is one of a few private practices to have an in-house MRI machine which we use routinely to create diagnostic images of the brain and spinal cord in our patients. Many of these patients then go on to successful surgical intervention by our surgical staff.
